Who you gonna call?
- Terry Ambrose:
Hey everybody, Alex from the Seaside Cove Bed & Breakfast here. As the youngest sleuth on the bench, I’m totally going with somebody closer to my age. That’s not to say I don’t like some of the other sleuths my friends have come up with—I especially like Miss Fisher. I think Phryne Fisher is awesome, but I want to work with somebody who totally gets me, so if I need help, I’m gonna call on Nancy Drew!
- Nancy J. Cohen:
Usually, I (Marla Vail) team up with Detective Dalton Vail to help him solve cases. Now that we are married, he’s learned to value my input. As for fictional characters, I admire Miss Fisher from Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. That woman has style and sass, and it would be fun to work with her.
- Debra H. Goldstein:
Personally, I (Sarah Blair) would be glad to never have to solve another case. But because of her culinary skills and ability to get to the bottom of anything, I think a Goldy Schulz (written by Diane Mott Davidson)/Sarah Blair team would be unbeatable – as well as downright funny.
- Cheryl Hollon:
Hi, Miranda Trent here from the thriving cultural tourism business in eastern Kentucky. Although I should be focusing on my Paint & Shine business, I often get caught up in murder investigations. I would love to team up with Jessica Fletcher to observe her methods. She manages to solve mysteries while writing mysteries. My hero.
- Diane A.S. Stuckart:
As a rank amateur when it comes to solving murders, I (Nina Fleet from the Georgia B&B Mysteries) have great admiration for the many professional female detectives out there in fictionland. Not that I’d ever want her job, but I would love to shadow Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller from the Broadchurch British TV mystery series. She’s dogged and tough as nails even while being a fiercely protective wife and mother.
- Maggie Toussaint:
My (Tabby Winslow from A Magic Candle Shop Mysteries) answer may surprise you, but I always admired how Columbo came up with the right answers. He was a bit of an outcast among his profession, something we have in common. He liked to keep worrying at the facts. He could help me with focus, and I could help him by making us invisible to eavesdrop. But I’d need a trench coat before we partnered together…
- Lois Winston
Anastasia Pollock says, my author loves watching the old Thin Man movies featuring Nick and Nora Charles. As a figment of her imagination, I’m always privy to seeing whatever she sees. I think Nora and I would make a great team in the Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mysteries, but I’m grateful for the help from my BFF and Zack, both of whom have saved my life on several occasions.
Columbo! MOST DEFINITELY!
Great choices. I think I would chose jimmy Perez from Anne Cleeves Shetland series.
Magnum P.I. as in Tom Selleck.
