Being Thankful
By Terry Odell

Because today is Thanksgiving Day here in the US, I imagine most of us are busy with holiday preparations, a big meal, maybe some football, time with family. Then there’s Black Friday (although you won’t catch me anywhere near a store), and Cyber Monday.

But no matter where you are or how you celebrate, it’s a good time to stop and take stock of what you’re thankful for.

As an author, I’m thankful for my readers. Knowing I’ve brought a few hours of escape or pleasure to someone I don’t know is humbling and gratifying.

So, for my turn here at Let’s Talk, I’d like to say thanks to readers with a giveaway.

I have books; some new, some gently read, that I’ve acquired at conferences and from judging contests. I have bling from some of those conferences as well. I’ll randomly select two winners. One gets some books, the other gets some bling.

And because everyone’s super busy, here’s a link to a free super short story.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Terms and Conditions. No purchase is necessary. You must be at least 18 years old to enter. Winners will be chosen by Rafflecopter from all entrants for the prize. Winners will be notified by email. The author is not responsible for transmission failures, computer glitches or lost, late, damaged or returned email. Prizes must be claimed within 5 days or they will be forfeited. Sorry, but for legal and postage issues, contest limited to residents of the US only.

Contest entries close at midnight Nov. 28th.

Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. I’m thankful for friends, family, and readers. What a nice tribute to authors and readers, Terry. I know readers will get many hours of enjoyment from this collection. I’m also thankful for our authors here at Booklovers Bench and the friendships we’ve developed. Happy Reading, all!
