What do you write?
  • Terry Ambrose:

I write what I like to call Mysteries with Character. The McKenna Trouble in Paradise Mystery series included ten books set in Hawaii and featuring the reluctant senior sleuth Wilson McKenna. My License to Lie trilogy featured a con artist and a criminologist who were forced to worked together to recover $5 million and to stay alive. The Seaside Cove Bed & Breakfast Mystery series currently has nine titles and is set in a quaint seaside town where, unfortunately, murder meets the sea. And then there’s the Beachtown Detective Agency Mystery series with spunky PI Jade Cavendish.  Altogether, I’ve published 24 novels and been included in several anthologies.

  • Nancy J. Cohen:

I write …. Cozy mysteries set in Florida with humor and heart. The Bad Hair Day Mysteries featuring hairstylist Marla Vail has 18 titles plus a short story, novella, and cookbook. Murder Pays a Call is #1 in my Keri Armstrong cozy series. These are all small town mysteries with wit, charm and suspense.

  • Debra H. Goldstein:

I write long and short. My seven novels have been classified genre-wise as academic, traditional, and cozy. My eighth book, With Our Bellies Full and the Fire Dying, published in February 2025, is a collection  of my short stories that have either won awards or been finalists in competitions. As of this date, I have had more than seventy short stories published or waiting release.

  • Cheryl Hollon:

I write two cozy mystery series that are close to my heart. The Webb’s Glass Shop Mysteries unfold in sunny downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, while the Paint & Shine Mysteries bring readers to the rolling hills and hollers of eastern Kentucky. Each series reflects a different part of my world, where one is coastal and creative, the other is rural and rooted in family history.

  • Maggie Toussaint:

I live with a wandering muse, but the wandering part makes perfect sense to me. Hoping to be the next Nora Roberts, I started in romantic suspense writing the Mossy Bog series and several stand-alones, but I longed to write books with more mystery than romance. So, I jumped ship into the cozy genre field, penning the Cleopatra Jones Mysteries, the Seafood Caper mysteries (w/a Valona Jones), and several stand-alones. Life happened, and I became fascinated with certain light paranormal elements, leading to my Dreamwalker and Magic Candle Shop mystery series. Along the way, I wrote (w/a Rigel Carson) an ecothriller sci-fi trilogy about a scientist who saved Earth.

  • Lois Winston:

I started my career writing romance and romantic suspense, but my first published book was Talk Gertie to Me, a humorous chick lit novel. That led to an offer to write a humorous crafting mystery series which became my Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mysteries, now at fifteen books and three novellas. I’ve also written the two-book Empty Nest Mystery Series.

Whew! That's a lot of writing. How familiar are you with our writers? Were some of these series and novels a surprise? We'd love to hear from you, so please leave a comment below.

  1. I have read books from all of you and am so glad to enjoy your many talents. I especially enjoy the settings in Cheryl Hollon’s books as I live in St. Pete (Glass Shop Mysteries) and am from SC, not far from Kentucky and the Paint & Shine Mysteries. Thank you all for keeping me in books!
