Do you like to decorate for Halloween?
  • Terry Ambrose:

My wife likes to decorate a little for Halloween. It’s actually not a big holiday for either of us. For me, it’s the one holiday I’d just prefer to get beyond, especially when I have to visit someplace like Home Depot and get assaulted by those giant animated monsters. Yeesh!

  • Nancy J. Cohen:

As an adult, I am not a big fan of Halloween. I don’t decorate the outside of my house at all for this holiday, except for a fake pumpkin. But I’m known to put some candles, a silicon skull, and assorted faux spiders and bats on my dining room table.

  • Debra H. Goldstein:

I’m not big on decorating for any holiday. What I enjoyed most about Halloween as a child, mother, and now a grandmother, is going through the collected candy to find my favorite things. One year, I told my son that he couldn’t have anything that appeared to have been unwrapped. He sadly, but duly, handed me all of his chocolate kisses.

  • Cheryl Hollon:

Absolutely. When my husband and I had a larger home, we hosted a costume party for over a hundred guests. We spent weeks transforming the house into a festive, slightly eerie setting. It was perfect for a night where everyone had a secret identity.

  • Maggie Toussaint:

My decorations for Halloween disappear quickly as they are the candy I buy for trick or treaters. Once that bag is opened to put a few of this or that out for a seasonal display, treats vanish at record rates. I can’t blame my guy as I am as guilty of enjoying the bits and bobs of chocolate.

  • C.B. Wilson:

Love it. I think every day should be a holiday. Halloween is all about ghosts for me. My husband likes to tease me about the number of orange containers we have in the garage filled with decorations. I don’t think 6 is too many. How many do you have?

  • Lois Winston:

Ever since I was pelted with raw eggs while trick or treating as a kid, I’ve never been much of a Halloween fan. I only decorate for Christmas.

  1. @DebraH.Goldstein ha! that’s funny about the chocolate kisses! 🤩
@LoisWinston so sorry to hear about your egg experience! 😥

  2. I love Halloween! I decorate the house and the front porch and front yard. Then my sister (who lives in another state) and I exchange pictures of all our Halloween decor.

We love to hear from you! Leave a Reply
