Let's Talk with Nancy J. Cohen

A popular proverb states that April Showers bring May Flowers. If March is the month for seasonal winds of change, then April predicts good things to come. I certainly hope this is the case, since March has not been a good month for me in terms of household disasters.

Writing-wise, I’ve made good progress. I finished my final read-through of Dreidels and Dead Ends, my next Bad Hair Day mystery. In that regard, all the hard work of writing a novel has finally blossomed into a finished product.

What happens in the production phase? I’ll assign ISBN numbers to each format, i.e. eBook and paperback, and then design the copyright page. Then I can add front and back materials to the book prior to formatting. Once the PDF file is ready, I give the page count to my cover designer for the print cover.

Now we’re on a roll! The book is ready for upload to the various online bookstores. I’ll set a release date, and then it’s time to schedule cover reveals, virtual book tours, ads and preorder alerts. The blossom reaches full bloom when the book lands in a reader’s hand.
